Think you might be pregnant? For the most accurate results, you should take a pregnancy test after you’ve missed your period. If you have a regular menstrual cycle, testing after your period is late increases the likelihood of detecting the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine.
For some women, early pregnancy tests can detect hCG a few days before a missed period. However, testing too early may result in a false-negative result (which means you’re pregnant, but your hCG levels are too low to detect).
For the best accuracy, use the first-morning urine, which is most concentrated. If the test is negative but you still suspect pregnancy, retest after a few days.
We offer free pregnancy testing with results explained by our staff. If your result is positive, we also offer a free limited ultrasound to confirm your pregnancy details.
Ultrasound is an essential scan during pregnancy because it provides the details you need to stay safe.
Ultrasound will tell you your pregnancy’s gestational age and due date (which determines what options are available for moving forward), your pregnancy’s location (which rules out a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy), and your pregnancy’s viability (which means that your pregnancy has signs of life and you haven’t miscarried).
We offer free limited ultrasounds to give you the information you need to stay safe and decide how to move forward.
